ESCANABA, MI – The Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) released the All-Region and All-Conference awards for volleyball on Tuesday afternoon. Bay College had two representatives on the list, Piper Monroe and Jade Jasenovsky, both were selected to the MCCAA Northern Conference Second Team while Jasenovsky was named to the All-Freshman Team.
Piper Monroe (SO, Menominee, MI) followed up an Honorable Mention last season with an improved performance in her second season with the Norse. She led the team in kills (234) and in all black categories (33 solo blocks, 52 assisted blocks, and 85 total blocks). Monroe finished the season with .294 hitting percentage. The middle hitter played in all 25 matches and in all 87 sets of the season for Bay. She also picked up 21 digs and ten serving aces on the season. Monroe received MCCAA Northern Conference Player of the Week two times this season.
Jade Jasenovsky (FR, Menominee, MI) took over the libero duties in her first season with the Norse. She led the team in digs with 402. In 355 receiving attempts, she recorded just 24 errors, which ends up being a .932 success rate. Jade also had 21 aces and 14 assists on the season. Jasenovsky was named the MCCAA Defensive Player of the Week three different times throughout the season.
The Norse finished the season with a 6-19 overall record this season.
