Makenna Hendrickson Earns Player of the Week Honors

ESCANBA, MI – Bay College's Makenna Hendrickson was named the MCCAA Northern Conference Player of the Week for her play during the week of January 19-25.

Hendrickson (SO, Baraga, MI) helped lead the Norse to a pair of conference wins.  In a 119-40 runaway win over Alpena Community College, Hendrickson had 12 points five rebounds, six assists, and five steals.  On Saturday she had a double-double in a 103-53 win over Delta College.  Hendrickson put up 24 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, and six steals.  She also shot six of ten from the field, two of three from three point, and was ten of ten from the free throw line.

For the week Hendrickson averaged 18 points, 8.5 rebounds, four assists, 5.5 steals per game and shot 47.7% from the field and 44.4% from three-point range.

Hendrickson is the fourth Norse player to receive the Player of the Week honors this season, joining Lauren Zawada (SO, Bark River, MI), Nina Bower (RS-FR, Bark River, MI), and Mckenzie Hoffmeyer (SO, Bark River, MI) in representing Bay at the conference level.
