ESCANABA, MI – Bay College's Trey Frye III was named the MCCAA Northern Conference Player of the Week for the week of December 8-14.

The Norse hosted their annual Terrace Bay Hotel Classic Tournament over the weekend and Frye (FR, Milwaukee, WI) was a big part of the Norse attack. 

On Friday evening Bay defeated Glen Oaks Community College by a score of 94-76.  Frye scored 14 points in that game and had eight rebounds, eight assists, and two steals.  He was five of six from the floor and four of five from the free throw line in that matchup.

On Saturday the Norse took on the #16 ranked Milwaukee Area Tech Stormers and fell by a score of 91-78.  Frye picked up 12 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, and two steals in the game.

For the week he averaged 13 points, eight rebounds, seven and a half assists, and two steals per game.  He shot 40% from the field.

The Norse will finish off their first semester slate of games with a trip to Minnesota where they will faceoff with Dakota County Technical College.  The game will be at Inver Hills Community College with a 3 pm tipoff.
