Four Norse Receive Postseason Honors

Avery Wilson, Harrison Haigh, Bon LaChance, and Jake Rolfe

ESCANABA, MI – The Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) announced the postseason awards for the 2026 baseball season.  Bay College's Avery Wilson and Harrison Haigh received All-Conference Second Team Honors while Bon LaChance and Jake Rolfe were named All-Conference Honorable Mention.

Avery Wilson (SO, Sault Ste. Marie, MI) was one of two Norse to play in every game of the season and quickly claimed the centerfield spot, solidifying the defense for Bay.  Batting in the leadoff spot for Bay, Avery led the team in walks with 22 and on base percentage (.452).  He also led the team in runs scored with 24, hits with 33, triples with three, and stolen bases with 13.  Wilson hit .330 for the season, slugged .420, and drove in 12 runs.

Despite being hampered all season long by an injury, Harrison Haigh's (SO, Essendon, Australia) .341 led the team in batting average for the season.  He struck out just five times in 95 plate appearances this season and had five doubles and a home run.  Harrison drove in 12 runs and had an on base percentage of .411 and a slugging percentage of .435.

Bon LaChance (SO, Escanaba, MI) tied for the team leader in RBI's driving in 16 runs this season.  He is one of two Norse players to play in every game this season and drew 20 walks in 120 plate appearances.  Bon had five doubles, a triple, and three home runs this season and ended with a .303 batting average, a .425 on base percentage, and a .465 slugging percentage. 

Jake Rolfe (FR, Frisco, TX) hit six home runs in his freshman campaign, the most on the team and tied for the team lead with 16 runs batted in.  He also five doubles this season and had a .302 batting average, a .408 on base percentage, and led the team with a .570 slugging percentage.  He also scored 16 runs.  Rolfe also tied for the team lead the team in games started on the mound with eight.  In 35 innings of work he was second on the team with 31 batters struck out.
